Of course, this does not include the loss of life as well as the emotional, physical and mental health implications that go along with being involved in war. When you consider that even though we have “won” or “ended” these wars and are bringing the troops home but that we will still have an occupation in these countries, you have to ask yourself why? If we have won and ended the wars, why do have to continue to spend US tax payers dollars at an alarming rate to continue to maintain our presence there? What was it exactly that was “won” as a result of these wars and exactly what part of it has ended? Once the United States invades a country in the name of “war” we never really leave because a base or embassy is always founded and will remain indefinately. Think about this as you listen to your state and federal representitives or government talk about rising unemployement rates, as you watch our educational system fail our children due to budget cuts. Think about this as Big Business, banks and financial intitutions report massive profit earnings reports and the cost of health care and insurance continue to increase while the services and benefits they provide steadly declines. Our Congress continues to introduce and pass legislation into law on a dialy basis which is stripping the American people of their Contitutional Rights and Civil Liberties.

Just last week a multi billion dollar contract was approved to purchase and put in place 30, 000 drones (unmaned servelance planes) that will be used to “police” US citizens throughout OUR country NOT other countries as we are doing presently.

Wake up people! We are being sold a bill of goods on a daily basis and it isn’t getting any better. In fact, it is getting worse. Much worse and we haven’t seen anything compared to what is yet to come! Turn off your reality tv shows and get involved with your communities and be a part of making others aware of what is really going on at a local level. This is the only way we have any chance of bringing about real change in our coun
