Right up front I want to ask the burning question, why in the hell would it take twenty years for the EPA and others to come to the site of this train accident in this town to investigate this incident? Secondly, why would this school or the state allow gas wells to be drilled and operated on school property? I think we all know the answer to the second question because it is always the same answer when it comes to the extraction of oil and gas….MONEY! I am sure the school ownes the mineral rights to this land and they are probably receiving a nice some of money in royality checks each month. But when you combine the issue of the toxic chemical spill from the train accident with the dangers we are all fully aware of regarding oil and gas extraction which is usually “fracking” my God! What a potentially disasterous situation for all who live near, work and attend school there. This is and incredible story and I for one am very curious to see how this turns out for all concerned.
