Social costs The War on Wages Part 3

Social costs The War on Wages Part 3.

The GOP continues to cry and bitch about corporate taxes being too high and they are not hiring because of their uncertainity in the markets. Give me a break! If you look at historical records on corporate taxes you will find the corporate tax rate in the 50’s was about 6%  of GDP compared to 2%  of GDP in 2011. Then take a look at corporate taxes paid which were reported at about 12.1 % in 2011 compared to about 25.6 % paid from 1987-2008. They claim that Obama is so tough and they are paying 35% in corporate taxes which is not true now and has never been true. From 1987-2008 (21 years) they were about 25% compared to the  12.1% paid last year! Then when you consider that record profilts have been reported, the highest in 60 years! All of this while the wages earners income has dropped by 2%.

For Republican’s to continue to try and lower coroporate taxes and increase taxes so “everyone is paying their fair share” in nothing more than nonsense!
